Where to Look
Different agencies hold different parts of an arrest history. Choose the route that matches the person’s custody stage and the record needed.
- For a county booking, photo, current inmate, or 48-hour release, start with the Woodson County records hub and then contact the sheriff.
- For wanted information, use the official paths explained under Wanted Fugitives.
- For the outcome of a charge, ask the Woodson County District Court because the roster does not establish a disposition.
- For a sentenced state-corrections record, use the Kansas Department of Corrections KASPER search.
- For federal custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator; immigration detention uses the separate ICE locator.
Sheriff and Jail Records
The Woodson County Sheriff’s Office operates the Woodson Detention Center and routes requests for sheriff booking records. The office does not publish a separate records-unit phone number or a fixed booking-photo fee. Ask for the current custodian, available format, and cost estimate before submitting a broad request.

The sheriff’s FAQ says records requests may be made in the office and approval may take up to three business days. The office, not this site, decides whether a requested booking photo or other item can be released under the Kansas Open Records Act.
